“Love’s Executioner”: A Review of the Psychotherapeutic Work of Author Irvin D. Yalom
[ send me this paper ]
A 5 page review of “Love's Executioner: And Other Tales of Psychotherapy” written by psychotherapist Irvin D. Yalom. The book reveals some of the most personal reflections of his patients’ desires and motivations. The book is much more than a revealing look at the minds of disturbed patients, however, it is also a record of the struggles, mistakes, failures, and successes, of the psychotherapist. Indeed, it is this revealing aspect of “Love's Executioner” which makes the book a tremendously useful and constructive resource to practicing psychotherapist as well as to those who wish to gain insight on the relationship which exists between psychotherapist and patient. No additional sources are listed.
