Telecommunications Act of 1996

A 14 page research paper which examines the ramifications of the 1996 Telecom Act which served to reform all aspects of the telecommunications industry. This legislation tore down many of these governmental barriers. Local and long-distance phone companies, broadcast and cable TV companies, computer companies, etc. were all cut loose from previous restrictions and were finally free to compete-or cooperate-as they, and their respective technologies, saw fit.
