Child Welfare Concerns in China

A 20 page discussion of China’s failure to comply with the requirements of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The author points out that while China has agreed to these requirements in theory, in practice she is far from complying. China’s birth control policies in particular serve to negatively impact her children’s most basic right to life in that they condone and sometimes even encourage such atrocious acts as infanticide and infant abandonment.
